Late summer in Takato has a way of slowing things down. The light softens, the mountains hold the day’s warmth, and music wafts beautifully across the hillside. On Saturday 29 August 2026, Takato Jazz & Blues returns to ポレポレの丘（高遠町東高遠）, bringing a full day of live music, local food, craft, and shared time together, from 11:00 to 20:00.
With one carefully curated stage, a strong local focus on craft stalls, food and drink, and family friendly space for all ages, Takato Jazz & Blues is designed to be unhurried, welcoming, and rooted in place. Below, we’re pleased to share the confirmed 2026 line-up, along with details on tickets, accommodation packages, stalls, and workshops.

若い世代がブルースの伝統を受け継ぎながら、現代的なエネルギーと躍動感で鳴らす The Broken Blues Band。クラシックなブルースへの深いリスペクトと、踊れるグルーヴを兼ね備えたライブパフォーマンスで、次世代ブルース・シーンを牽引する注目の存在。

本場アメリカ南部のブルースを、その源流からまっすぐに体現する Max Hightower。ハーモニカと歌、唯一無二のグルーヴには、Mac Arnold’s Plate Full O’ Blues でのキャリアや数々のレジェンドとの共演で培われたリアルなブルースが息づいている。2026年、高遠ジャズ＆ブルースフェスティバルで待望の日本デビュー。フェス初の海外招聘アーティストとして、心に深く残る本物のブルースを高遠にもたらす。

「無地の音楽」をテーマに、ジャンルを越えた自由な発想で音を描く名古屋発インストゥルメンタルバンド solh。 アコースティックとエレクトリックのギャップを楽しみながら、ロマンティックでエモーショナルなライブを展開する。

Aika Ono
東京出身のブルースギタリスト・ボーカリスト、小野アイカ。シカゴでの共演経験やジャパン・ブルース・フェスティバルへの出演など、国内外でキャリアを重ねてきました。2026年にはソロアルバム『DREAM JOURNEY』の日本盤リリースを予定し、高遠ジャズ＆ブルースフェスティバルでは、その歩みを凝縮した深くソウルフルなステージを届けます。

Jiro Yamaoka
2025年の感動、2026年の予感。長野発・本物のブルースの声。 アメリカ南部の魂を宿したスモーキーな歌声とソウルフルなスライドギターで観客を揺らしたジロー・ヤマオカ。2025年の圧巻ライブを経て、2026年はさらに深く、さらに自由に、さらに心をつなぐステージへ。ジャンルを超えた音楽フェス Live Magic! への出演でも知られる彼のブルースは「聴く」以上に「感じる」体験。2026年の高遠で、その瞬間がまたひとつ伝説になる。

新世代ジャズの象徴。進化を止めない Gecko & Tokage Parade。 流麗でメロウなピアノと、洗練された四人のアンサンブルが生み出す圧倒的な音のうねり。 2025 年、高遠ジャズ＆ブルースフェスティバルでヘッドライナーとして会場を震わせたそのサウンドは、もはやジャンルを超えた“体験”そのもの。 最新作 Rawment を携え、2026 年もさらなる進化とともに高遠のステージへ戻ってくる。

Solitary Circus
Solitary Circus（ソリタリー・サーカス）は、バリトンサックス、トランペット、ドラムのみで構成される、日本でも極めて珍しい編成の3ピース・インストゥルメンタルジャムバンド。ベースやギター、キーボード、打ち込みを使用せず、削ぎ落とされた音の中から生まれるグルーヴとエネルギーに満ちたサウンドが特徴です。 2024年に結成され、音源リリース前から全国ツアーを行い、即興性の高いライブパフォーマンスで注目を集めています。
Jiro Yamaoka & The Band
Closing the day is Jiro Yamaoka & The Band, whose music draws deeply from the blues while speaking with a contemporary voice. Jiro’s songwriting is emotionally direct and grounded, supported by a band that understands space, dynamics, and restraint as much as power. This headline set is designed to bring the day together, offering a performance that feels expansive, considered, and earned.
Solitary Circus
Solitary Circus is a three-piece instrumental jam band, consisting of only baritone saxophone, trumpet, and drums, an extremely rare arrangement even in Japan. Without bass, guitar, keyboards, or programmed tracks, their sound is characterized by a stripped-down sound that is full of groove and energy. Formed in 2024, they have been touring nationwide since before releasing any music, and have been garnering attention for their highly improvisational live performances.
Max Hightower
Max Hightower embodies authentic Southern American blues straight from its source. His harmonica, vocals, and unique groove are imbued with the authentic blues he cultivated through his career with Mac Arnold’s Plate Full O’ Blues and his collaborations with numerous legends. He will make his long-awaited Japanese debut at the Takato Jazz & Blues Festival in 2026. As the festival’s first overseas artist, he will bring a truly memorable style of blues to Takato. In addition to his live set, Max will also lead a harmonica workshop during the day.
Gecko & Tokage Parade
Rhythmically playful and compositionally adventurous, Gecko & Tokage Parade never stop evolving. Their flowing, mellow piano and sophisticated four-piece ensemble create an overwhelming surge of sound. Their sound, which shook the venue as headliners at the Takato Jazz & Blues Festival in 2025, is now an experience that transcends genre. With their latest album, Rawment, they will return to the Takato stage in 2026, even more evolved.
Aika Ono
Aika Ono is a blues guitarist and vocalist from Tokyo. She has built a career both in Japan and abroad, performing with artists in Chicago and at the Japan Blues Festival. She plans to release the Japanese version of her solo album, “DREAM JOURNEY,” in 2026, and will deliver a deep, soulful performance at the Takato Jazz & Blues Festival that encapsulates her journey. She began performing seriously in the mid-2000s and took part in Nokie Edwards’ Japan tour in 2006. In 2007 and 2008, she was based in Chicago, performing with renowned blues musicians including Carlos Johnson, Billy Branch, and Nellie “Tiger” Travis.
Solh Instrumental
The Nagoya-based instrumental band solh creates music with a free and unconventional approach that transcends genres. They enjoy the gap between acoustic and electric sounds and deliver romantic and emotional live performances. Solh Instrumental create immersive instrumental music that rewards close listening. Atmospheric and melodic, their sound offers a quieter intensity that complements the natural setting of the festival site.
The Broken Blues Band
Rooted firmly in classic blues traditions, The Broken Blues Band focus on groove, feel, and ensemble playing. Their sound is honest and direct, prioritising momentum and authenticity over polish. This is blues that moves and belongs outdoors. A young band carrying on the traditions of blues while bringing modern energy and dynamism to the music. Their live performances combine a deep respect for classic blues with a danceable groove, making them a notable presence leading the next generation of blues scene.
With a single stage and thoughtful scheduling, there’s no need to choose between acts. Every performance has room to breathe.
TICKETS
Tickets for Takato Jazz & Blues 2026 are now available, with prices ranging from ¥2,000 to ¥5,000 depending on ticket type. All tickets include access to the full day of live performances and the festival grounds.

STAY IN TAKATO
For visitors travelling from outside the area, Takato Jazz & Blues offers limited hotel and ticket packages that include festival admission and accommodation at the wonderful Takato Sakura Hotel. This package includes festival admission and accommodation, allowing you to enjoy music and accommodation without having to worry about transportation. The package includes:

FOOD, DRINK & STALLS
LOCAL, REGIONAL, AND MADE WITH CARE
Takato Jazz & Blues places strong emphasis on local and regional producers, and this year’s stalls reflect that commitment.
Food offerings include regional specialities, street food, and carefully prepared dishes from vendors such as Masala Sangam, Hoshi Ina Yakiniku, and Natural Flatt, alongside sweets, coffee, and lighter fare throughout the site.
Drink options include craft beer, the Takato Jazz & Blues Gin Bar, locally produced beverages, and coffee stands such as Sora Coffee.
Craft and maker stalls feature leatherwork, glass, ceramics, dried flowers, original designs, and handmade goods from across Nagano and the Ina Valley.
Many stallholders will also host small workshops and demonstrations, encouraging visitors to participate as well as browse.

WORKSHOPS & FAMILY-FRIENDLY ACTIVITIES
Workshops are an important part of the festival atmosphere and are open to all ages.
